Hello, Project Redwood!

Thank you for taking time to learn about Daring Girls. We were founded in 2001 by your fellow alumna, Ashley Shuler Carter (Stanford GSB ’13). Based in Denver, CO, we partner locally in Tanzania and Kenya to support mentorship programs that help girls complete their secondary school education and prepare them with critical life skills that help them confidently design their own futures.

Daring Girls and Project Redwood share similar values in that we both focus our work on education, life skills development, locally led program design and implementation, and preparing young women to lead in their communities and workplaces. Our work deeply aligns with your priorities, and we know that we would benefit greatly from the talent and knowledge that Project Redwood would bring to our organization and to our local partners in Tanzania, Kenya, and two additional countries we will add to our partnership next year. You could be a catalytic partner in this expansion.

We’d love to share more. But first, we hope you will enjoy this introduction and overview from our Executive Director, Jessica Love:
