When you make a donation to us or sign up for our e-mail communications, we collect and process that information, with your consent, to fulfill your donations, keep you updated on how your support helps us achieve our mission, and for other legitimate purposes, such as donation receipts.

Information You Give Voluntarily

  • When you sign up to receive our emails
    When you consent to receive emails from Daring Girls you will receive messages to stay informed, join us for events, and support our work. We may use your information to reach out to you online through social media channels or online advertising.
  • When you fill out a form on our website
    You may choose to submit your information in various places on our website, by registering for an event, joining a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, sending a message of support, or completing a survey. The information we collect might include your name, email, mailing address, a phone number and other personal details you may choose to share.
  • When you make a donation
    If you make a donation through a link on our website, you will be required to share contact information (such as your name, address, phone number, mailing address). Credit card and other information you provide when making a donation is entered directly on our reputable third-party vendor donation platforms, Colorado Gives (privacy policy) and Give Lively (privacy policy), for the purpose of processing and recording gifts. We do not have access to your credit card information, and thus do not store it in our files. As you can read in their privacy policies, which we have linked here, these platforms do not disclose, share, rent or sell your information to other organizations. They do provide details to Daring Girls that we keep on file to thank you and keep you updated about our work. These details include as your name, the amount you donated and to which campaign or initiative, your email address, telephone number and mailing address.

    When you interact or make a donation via a third party with whom we work and give them permission to share your information with us, we may also receive information about you.
  • When you communicate with us online
    Sometimes we request, collect and/or retain information when you communicate with us online, which may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and other personally identifiable information you share with us. For example, you may ask us to update your contact information or request information about how to make a gift through hello@daringgirls.org

Photography and Video

Photos or video taken at our events will only be used in print publications, videos and digital communications including our website, e-mails and social media with your consent. Consent may be provided in writing or by attending an event where we have provided notice that photos and videos will be taken and used in our materials. If you would like us to discontinue using a photo of you, please contact us at hello@daringgirls.org

Child Policy

If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that a child for which you are responsible has provided us with personal information without your consent, please let us know at hello@daringgirls.org and we will remove their information from our files.
