• There are 16.7 million girls out of school in sub-Saharan Africa, 9.3 million of which will never set foot in a classroom. (UNESCO)
• Every additional year of schooling raises a young person’s future earnings. In Tanzania, every year of schooling completed increases a student’s future wages by 18%. (H.A. Patrinos, C.E. Montenegro, 2021)
